Pay
$32–35/hr depending on experience and skill; potential for overtime varies by experience and location.

Requirements
- High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
- Physical ability to move objects and tools up to 75 pounds; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling
- High level of dexterity
- Basic tools per Altec tool policy
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive motor vehicles
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Commitment to safety in all tasks
Qualifications
- Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes, or construction/mining/farm equipment such as excavators, skid steers, dozers, or tractors
- Military heavy equipment experience (e.g., MRAP vehicle, HMEE, tanks)
- Aircraft, aerospace, or ground support equipment (AGE/GSE) experience
- Previous experience as a mechanic or technician, with a focus on heavy equipment
- Education in mechanics, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems
Responsibilities
- Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
- Utilize technical support resources (operator, parts, and maintenance manuals, HowFactory, etc.) for troubleshooting, procedures, and parts identification
- Perform Unit Condition Inspections and Reports
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area
- Adhere to Altec Safety practices and procedures
- Advise supervisors of situations that may impact customer relationships
- Provide accurate and sufficient information on all required documents

- Perform all other duties as assigned
