Equipment Mechanic

About the Role

Wasatch Electric is seeking an Equipment Mechanic to assist with the repair and maintenance of heavy construction equipment and vehicles at our Carson City shop location. This role requires familiarity with all types of construction equipment and the ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the repair and maintenance of diesel and gasoline-powered heavy equipment and vehicles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Mechanic skills/experience specific to heavy equipment.
• Basic hydraulics, electrical, and welding skills.
• Dependable work schedule and shift availability.
• Good driving record; ability to pass DOT medical exam.
• CDL License preferred.
• Knowledge of electric over hydraulic systems.
• Welding capabilities.

Physical Demands

• Ability to physically lift, move, and exert force of up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and perform other related physical positions.
