EQUIPMENT MATERIEL MANAGER II

About the role
Under the general direction of the Equipment Materiel Coordinator (EMC), the Equipment Acquisition Manager administers a statewide program for the Division of Equipment (DOE). The incumbent plans, organizes, directs, and conducts procurement activities for mobile fleet equipment under the DOE Expanded Purchase Authority Delegation. Responsibilities include interacting with various State Agencies, Departments, and Divisions such as the Department of General Services (DGS), the Division of Procurement and Contracts (DPAC), and the Division of Accounting (DofA). Daily duties involve using computer software systems including E-FIS, eProcurement, SCPRS, and Fleet Anywhere.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, and conduct procurement activities for mobile fleet equipment.
- Administer statewide procurement programs under the DOE Expanded Purchase Authority Delegation.
- Coordinate with State Agencies, Departments, and Divisions including DGS, DPAC, and DofA.
- Utilize software systems such as E-FIS, eProcurement, SCPRS, and Fleet Anywhere.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid driver’s license when operating a state-owned or leased vehicle.
- Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required; resumes and cover letters will not substitute for the SOQ.
- If basing eligibility on education, include unofficial transcript(s)/diploma for verification; foreign transcripts/degrees must include a U.S. equivalency report.
Qualifications
The SOQ must be typed, no more than two pages in length, using 12-point Arial font, and address the following:
- Experience with purchasing activities such as conducting formal and informal solicitations, bid evaluation, awarding purchases, paying invoices, and record keeping.
- Description of a project or assignment requiring coordination with other programs or staff, including steps taken to ensure timely completion and the outcome.

Pay
$5,850.00 - $7,260.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
