Equipment Master Supervisor - Night Shift

About the Role

The Equipment Master Supervisor is responsible for the safe, consistent daily operation of the production line, ensuring low waste, high yield, and the best quality product for customers. Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, the Line Leader guides the production process and controls process changes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the overall workflow of the lines and process are met in a timely manner.
• Mentor and develop team members.
• Maintain and improve high standards of housekeeping, safety, and quality in the area.
• Organize and direct work and team assignments under the guidance of the Equipment Manager.
• Read and analyze production specs to determine production requirements.
• Ensure all finished products are within quality specifications.
• Troubleshoot production problems and implement corrective actions.
• Run diagnostic tests and repair malfunctioning equipment across plant automation.
• Commission control systems and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Perform equipment and process instrumentation calibration, including flow and pressure transmitters and level sensors.
• Perform preventative maintenance; manage stock of critical spares, input data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), execute work orders, back up programs, and keep prints and manuals current.
• Utilize SolidWorks CAD guidelines and department design procedures to create solid models and detail drawings.
• Troubleshoot programmable logic control (PLC), HMI, motor, and motor control problems.
• Perform root cause failure analysis for failed parts and design improvements using materials/fabrication knowledge.
• Identify critical machine components and analyze design features to ensure reliability.
• Drive operational improvement and cost reduction by enhancing industrial control schemes.
• Complete assigned work orders, write work requests, and collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and repair processing and solar module equipment.
• Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of solar module equipment.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds without restriction.
• Reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting as required within company limits.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical College or Associate Degree in Management.
• Forklift operation certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Senior Product Technician certification.
• Experience in high-tech or solar manufacturing industry and start-ups.
