Equipment Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Captures and coordinates repairs and maintenance to be performed by mechanics and third-party vendors.
- Prioritizes field requests and assigns the most appropriate personnel to tasks.
- Aids Construction Managers in negotiating and acquiring rental equipment, including reviewing and approving rental agreements with vendors.
- Coordinates the mobilization and demobilization of equipment to and from job sites.
- Implements policies and procedures related to equipment management.
- Promotes and communicates the company's commitment to safety by identifying and mitigating safety risks.
- Ability to perform manual labor in various conditions and work extended hours as needed.
- Strong communication skills, work ethic, and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to embrace a culture of safety.
- Knowledge of construction methods, maintenance techniques, and proper tool usage.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience in fleet management.
- Ability to mentor and train staff.
- 30 Hour OSHA training.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive on behalf of company business.
Preferred Qualifications
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER training.
- Competent Person Safety Training.
- 8-Hour Supervisory Training.
- 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Lifts up to 50 pounds.
- Extended standing or walking on project sites.
- Climb in and out of equipment.
- Work in confined spaces or at heights.
- Exposure to heavy machinery, chemicals, dust, fumes, noise, and extreme weather.
- Required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Essential to communicate effectively, use tools safely, and adhere to safety protocols.
