Equipment Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Captures and coordinates repairs and maintenance to be performed by mechanics and third-party vendors.
  • Prioritizes field requests and assigns the most appropriate personnel to tasks.
  • Aids Construction Managers in negotiating and acquiring rental equipment, including reviewing and approving rental agreements with vendors.
  • Coordinates the mobilization and demobilization of equipment to and from job sites.
  • Implements policies and procedures related to equipment management.
  • Promotes and communicates the company's commitment to safety by identifying and mitigating safety risks.
  • Ability to perform manual labor in various conditions and work extended hours as needed.
  • Strong communication skills, work ethic, and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to embrace a culture of safety.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, maintenance techniques, and proper tool usage.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • 5 years’ experience in fleet management.
  • Ability to mentor and train staff.
  • 30 Hour OSHA training.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive on behalf of company business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER training.
  • Competent Person Safety Training.
  • 8-Hour Supervisory Training.
  • 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Lifts up to 50 pounds.
  • Extended standing or walking on project sites.
  • Climb in and out of equipment.
  • Work in confined spaces or at heights.
  • Exposure to heavy machinery, chemicals, dust, fumes, noise, and extreme weather.
  • Required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Essential to communicate effectively, use tools safely, and adhere to safety protocols.
