Responsibilities

  • Utilize diagnostic equipment to monitor equipment performance, diagnose the root cause, and make reliability improvement recommendations.
  • Dismantle, adjust, and repair equipment in accordance with maintenance specifications and repair manuals.
  • Use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges, and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis, and repair of equipment.
  • Drive solutions and guidelines, recommending and writing maintenance procedures and specifications.
  • Perform scheduled tool qualifications.
  • Vendor management and coordination.
  • Opportunity to provide leadership to other technicians by providing training and mentoring.

Qualifications

  • Associate/technical degree or currently working towards a degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience.
  • Must possess good interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Practical knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems and controls.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

About the Role

The Equipment Maintenance Technician (Implant) Night Shift at onsemi's Gresham, OR site works in a dynamic team environment maintaining a fleet of semiconductor manufacturing equipment within the Implant process area. This role impacts the company's strategic plan to optimize capacity and factory performance.

Area Equipment: Implant: ViiSta 3000, ViiSta 810, ViiSta HCP, Axcelis GSD, and EPI ASM-2000/2500 equipment.

Shift: D Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, e/o Saturday 7 PM - 7:06 AM 15% Night Shift Differential.

On the job Conditions: Work is performed in a cleanroom environment that requires wearing a smock, hood, booties, latex gloves, and safety glasses. May require the use of an APR (air-purifying respirator). May require the occasional use of personal protective equipment, including but not limited to aprons, heat gloves, and full-face masks. Requires standing for up to 75% of the shift. Requires lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. May require work with hazardous gases, chemicals, and voltages up to 1500 Volts.
