Equipment Maintenance Technician (Diffusion)

About the role

Renesas Electronics is looking for an experienced technician to fill the role of Diffusion Equipment Maintenance Technician supporting our wafer fabrication facility in Palm Bay, Florida. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent written and communication skills. This position offers development opportunities working for a leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance analog semiconductors.

Qualifications

Education Requirements: AS or AA in electrical, mechanical, military training, or 5+ years relevant work experience.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 40lbs.

ITAR Requirement: This is an ITAR role - the candidate must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. Person.

Experience Requirements & Skills

• 5+ years supporting Diffusion equipment: Thermco TMX 9000/10000, SVG VTR 6000/7000A
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a semiconductor-manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the Equipment Maintenance Field
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment problems; define and implement solutions
• Strong mechanical skills: demonstrable knowledge of pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic, and robotic systems
• Strong electronic skills: understanding and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
• Demonstrated knowledge in how to approach installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of electromechanical equipment
• Demonstrated knowledge in diagnosing, testing, and repairing equipment by utilizing electrical repair procedures
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated problem solving ability
• Must have knowledge of SPC and know how it is used and implemented in the manufacturing environment

Schedule

This position is 100% onsite in Palm Bay, FL. Hours are on a compressed work week: 3 days - 7am to 7pm one week, and 4 days the next week. Both day and night shifts are available.
