Equipment Maintenance Technician

About the role

Vishay Yankton, SD is currently seeking applicants for an Equipment Maintenance Technician position. This position is located on-site in Yankton, SD, offering a variety of fun activities including waterfront trails, parks, and home of the Mount Marty Lancers.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for equipment maintenance, including preventative maintenance and setup.
• Assemble and debug equipment.
• Ensure equipment is operated safely and troubleshoot any equipment issues.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED plus specialized training equivalent to two years of college or technical school.
• Minimum of two years applicable experience.
• Must be able to read mechanical and electrical drawings and assemble/disassemble moderately complex equipment.
• Good mechanical and electrical skills.
• May be required to operate a forklift.

Qualifications

Vishay Yankton, SD is seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
• Access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations.

Skills

Essential skills for this position include:

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Experience assembling and debugging equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Operate a forklift if required.
