Equipment Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, ESCO equipment, and related production machinery.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
  • Diagnose and repair CNC controls, servo motors, drives, sensors, and automation systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections, equipment calibration, and performance testing.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform timely repairs to minimize production interruptions.
  • Aid with machine setup, installation, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and machine documentation.
  • Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history logs.
  • Coordinate with operators, engineers, and production personnel to resolve equipment issues.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
  • Follow all safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company maintenance standards.

Required Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Experience maintaining CNC machining centers, lathes, mills, and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of CNC controls, PLC systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex machine and equipment issues.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more as required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work around industrial machinery for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
