Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician to provide hands-on support for packaging, inspection, and serialization equipment in a regulated manufacturing environment. The role will focus on equipment troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and reliability while following GMP, FDA, and site requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures and identify root causes.
- Support equipment adjustments, changeovers, upgrades, and modifications.
- Maintain and troubleshoot vision inspection and serialization equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, faults, and alarms.
- Perform maintenance activities according to GMP, FDA, and site SOP requirements.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and corrective actions.
- Work with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to support manufacturing operations.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and support production uptime and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing or packaging environments.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing packaging equipment such as cartoners, labelers, conveyors, printers, and inspection systems.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment.
- Knowledge of vision inspection and serialization systems such as Cognex and Systech.
- Experience with preventive maintenance, equipment breakdowns, and changeovers.
- Knowledge of GMP, FDA, and regulated manufacturing requirements.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
- Good documentation and Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
