Equipment Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are hiring a full-time Equipment Maintenance Technician at Minneapolis Glass in our new 115,000 sq ft facility. This position offers a competitive union rate up to $38.50/hr. and is eligible for daily overtime after 8 hours. It operates on a first shift schedule from 7:00am - 3:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Perform general machine installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for plant equipment
• Operate glass and metal fabrication equipment to learn maintenance techniques and ensure high-quality production
• Operate new equipment during start-up and debug processes
• Document technical procedures for changes to machines
• Establish and implement a preventative maintenance program
• Train machine operators and other plant team members on machine maintenance and optimal operation
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years experience in maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing setting
• 2 - 3 years machine operating experience in glass fabrication preferred
• Solid understanding of schematics, diagrams, and equipment & controls manuals
• Physically capable of lifting 75 lbs. unassisted; standing, bending, stretching

• Knowledgeable in maintenance practices
