Supervises maintenance employees
Maintains workflow, adjusts schedules, and assigns employees as needed to balance workload and minimize downtime.
Supports the Equipment Maintenance Manager
- Ensures all aspects of maintenance operations meet requirements.
- Monitors compliance with policies for inspection, maintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment.
- Aids in purchasing parts, supplies, tools, and machinery.
- Assists with recordkeeping tasks related to service, repair, parts, inventory, and vehicle/equipment activities.
- Conducts periodic inspections and audits of facilities and equipment.
- Identifies potential safety hazards and implements corrective actions.
- Investigates and evaluates causes and extent of equipment failures and vehicle accidents.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Related management experience or related work experience, including supervising union personnel.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Principles of employee training, supervision, and evaluation.
- Supervisory techniques, resource allocation, planning, and budgeting.
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
