About the role

As a Texas Instruments Equipment Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant and dynamic team-oriented environment where your opinion is valued and you can play a pivotal role in several different areas.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, select, and order equipment that is most appropriate and cost-effective for the manufacture of company products.
  • Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Keep current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
  • Study equipment performance and reliability.
  • Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.
  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
  • Define and write preventative maintenance schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment as an Equipment Engineer.

Skills

  • Experience in Thin Films, Plasma Etch, Wet Chemistry, and Diffusion (ideal but not required).
  • Equipment experience across OEMs, including but not limited to AMAT, LAM, Novellus, TEL, ASML, Kokusai, Akrion, and Axcelis.
  • Experience with tool monitoring and interdiction software, equipment maintenance, and documentation.
  • Desire and ability to own all aspects of Tool Stability Performance, including Availability, Failure Rate, Scrap, and Cost.
  • Drive for continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and SPC techniques.
  • Experience with semiconductor cleanroom protocol and behaviors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results.
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery.
  • Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced, and rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships.

Pay

Base pay is determined within a range and depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay range for this role is $77,500 - $125,500.
