Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for metrology and automated sorting tools used in semiconductor manufacturing, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Conduct and prescribe preventive and corrective maintenance of metrology equipment, troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, process engineers, and technicians) to diagnose and resolve tool issues.
- Support the installation and qualification of new metrology tools, ensuring they meet manufacturing requirements.
- Analyze tool performance data and generate reports to improve tool efficiency and identify potential issues early.
- Provide training and mentoring to technicians and other team members on tool operation and maintenance.
- Clock in and schedule support and maintenance with Equipment Vendors to drive continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering for Mechanical, Electronics, Computer or related fields.
- 5 years of experience working with semiconductor manufacturing equipment, preferably metrology tools responsible for defect inspection and measurement.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining complex electro-mechanical systems, including optical character recognition, robotics, and systems that rely on pneumatics, vacuum, and lasers.
- Excellent teamwork and good verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated strong partnership skills with Operations and Equipment Maintenance organizations.
- Good problem solving skills, sound analytical techniques, and an ability to solve problems systematically. Design of Experiment (DOE), characterization, and optimization capabilities.
- Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and proficiency with data science and SPC software. Familiarity applying Lean manufacturing, Six-Sigma, and similar principles to complex issues.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Able to work in a clean room environment, adhering to strict cleanliness protocols and wearing required clean room attire to maintain a contamination-free workspace.
Pay
The annual base salary range for this position is $91,000 - $146,000. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
