About the role

This role is primarily responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on semiconductor equipment. The position involves close collaboration with Equipment Engineers and Area Managers to identify and resolve equipment issues that impact production. Additional responsibilities include actively participating in area shift pass-downs and prioritizing tasks based on evolving production requirements.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in performing preventative maintenance tasks and rebuilding assemblies
  • Ability to analyze and resolve recurring maintenance problems and perform technical servicing of semiconductor production and support equipment
  • Ability to participate in developing, documenting, and improving existing semiconductor equipment maintenance procedures and systems, working from procedures, blueprints, sketches, drawings, and diagrams
  • Ability to interface with vendors, senior technicians, and engineers to help resolve equipment-specific issues
  • Ability to follow maintenance and safety procedures
  • Ability to recommend equipment improvements and interface with engineering as required
  • Ability to participate in and lead/direct ERT/safety events in the absence of supervision
  • Ability to ensure all required parts are on order and follow up as needed to minimize equipment downtime
  • Ability to display sound judgment in resolving problems, carrying out assignments, and making recommendations

Requirements

  • Associate of Science degree with an emphasis in Electronics. Military training and experience will also be considered.
  • 5+ years of technical experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following Metrology tools: KLA Defect AIT XP+, ALTAIR 8250, KLA Overlay 5200, ARCHER, KLA Thickness UV1280, ASET F5X, Hitachi CD SEM 9200, Eagle View Macro Inspection, KLA SP1-TBI, SURFSCAN, KLA P22, AMAT SEMVision, KLA RS-75/RS-100, Nano Metrics FTIR, SDI SPV, NAK Littlefoot, or NSX Rudolph.
