Equipment Builder - 1st & 2nd Shift
About the role
Marine Travelift is seeking full-time Equipment Builders to join their 1st and 2nd shift teams. The position involves building custom machines such as boat hoists, marine forklifts, and industrial lifts.
Responsibilities
- Produce boat hoist and lift components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
- Install engines, compartments, pumps, tires, conduit, and hydraulic lines.
- Assemble and install parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics onto large equipment using power equipment and wrenching techniques.
- Lift and stack completed subassemblies and parts.
- Use overhead and jib cranes as needed to move steel beams and columns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience reading blueprints.
- Previous mechanical experience or being mechanically inclined.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions in English.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Qualifications
Second shift offers a four-day work week and shift differential pay. Health, dental, vision, and life insurance plans are available the first of the month following date of hire. Eligibility for the 401K benefit plan with company match starts after 30 days of employment. Paid vacation and holidays are available at hire, along with paid paternity leave. A Health Savings Account (HSA) plan with employer contribution is also offered. The company participates in a semi-annual discretionary incentive plan. Schedule
First shift: Monday-Thursday, 6:00AM-3:00PM; Friday, 6:00AM-12:00PM
Second shift: Monday-Thursday, 2:30PM-1:00AM (3-day weekend)
