Equipment Builder - 1st & 2nd Shift

About the role

Marine Travelift is the leading manufacturer of customized boat handling systems including boat hoists, marine forklifts, and hydraulic transporters. The company has been manufacturing mobile boat hoists since 1954 and their equipment is utilized globally. They are currently seeking full-time Equipment Builders for their 1st and 2nd shift teams.

Responsibilities

• Produce boat hoist and lift components by assembling parts and subassemblies to produce one, large product.
• Install engines and compartments, pumps, tires, conduit and hydraulic lines.
• Assemble and install parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics onto large equipment utilizing power equipment and wrenching techniques.
• Lift and stack completed subassemblies and parts.
• Use overhead and jib cranes as needed to move steel beams and columns.
• All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned.

Requirements

• Experience reading blueprints.
• Previous mechanical experience and/or be mechanically inclined.
• High attention to detail.
• Able to follow verbal and written work instructions in English.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who can perform the above duties and responsibilities. No specific educational background is required, but previous mechanical experience is preferred.

Skills

The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• 1st shift: Monday-Thursday, 6:00AM-3:00PM; Friday, 6:00AM-12:00PM
• 2nd shift: Monday-Thursday; 2:30PM-1:00AM (3-day weekend)
