About the role
The Equine Marketing Intern’s primary objective will be to learn all aspects of Sandhills products and services, and to focus on new market development within the equine industry. This position requires prior experience or knowledge in the equine industry.Responsibilities
- Contact sellers within the equine and livestock industries and educate them on our products and services.
- Explain our websites and guide them on how to enter their own information, as well as enter their listings for them.
- Handle in-bound and outbound customer calls and email communications.
- Gather information on shows and meetings in the industry.
- Research the equine and livestock industries and determine the proper way to list the information on our site.
- Provide feedback from the industry.
- Build solid relationships with members of the industries we serve.
- Achieve a heavy focus on customer service and sales.
- Assist in the implementation of various tasks.
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge in the equine industry.
- Ability to commute when scheduled to the local office.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and communicate within a team environment.
