Equine Facility Summer Stable Worker
Duties/Responsibilities
- Mucking Stalls and Paddocks
- Hauling and Stacking Hay
- Basic Horse Handling and Care
- Sweeping Floors and Cleaning Equipment
- Basic Herd Feeding Duties
- Summer facility maintenance
Training Available For Advancement Opportunities
- Vehicle Driving Clearance and Operation
- Advanced Horse Handling and Grooming
- Advanced Herd Care and Basic Medical Care
Qualifications
Some knowledge and experience working with horses helpful but not required. Preferred Qualifications: Horse handling experience.
About the Role
The Equine Facility at UNH depends on Stable Crew members to help care for our herd of 30+ horses. On-the-job training is provided for all duties and advancement opportunities are available. 30-40 hours per week through the summer break.
