About the role
UK HealthCare's Enterprise Project Management Office for Regional Network Development & Outreach is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a RHTP Senior Project Manager position. The RHTP Senior PM will oversee projects at UKHC that are in alignment with the goals of the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP), with opportunity to improve access to health care for patients. Working at a large, academic medical center, the RHTP Senior Project Manager will have the opportunity to collaborate with leaders across the organization from front line staff to faculty to C-suite.
Responsibilities
- Work with project teams and leads across the organization as well as the state
- Frequent interaction, collaboration, planning, and cooperation with senior level UKHC leadership and stakeholders required to develop and deliver projects that meet the RHTP Objectives
- Operate in a matrixed organization that requires excellent interpersonal skills, persuasion and influencing skills, and the ability to lead large multi-disciplinary teams through significant amount of varied work assignments
Requirements
- Required Education: MA (see equivalencies at https://hr.uky.edu/employment/working-uk/equivalencies)
- Required Related Experience: 5 years
- Required License/Registration/Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required within one year of hire
- Physical Requirements: occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50lbs; occasionally standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs; regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motions (such as typing); less than 50% of job-related travel
- Shift: Primarily Monday through Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm with occasional nights and weekends as needed
- This is a grant funded, limited time position
Qualifications
- Proven track record of collaborative work
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office as well as some experience with project management software
- Must excel in strategic operations & improvement initiatives
- No supervisory responsibilities
Preferred qualifications
- 5-8 years of project management experience in a healthcare setting
- Master's Degree
Pay
$71,323-131,685/year
Schedule
Primarily Monday through Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm with occasional nights and weekends as needed
