Epic Principal Trainer (Beaker)

About the role

Hybrid opportunity (3 days in‑office & 2 days remote) based in Secaucus, NJ or Schaumburg, IL. The role may also be fully remote if hybrid location criteria are not met.

Responsibilities

• Develop role‑based training content independently or with team members using various software programs, tools, and applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain instructional materials.
• Maintain policy and procedure documentation.
• Incorporate feedback into existing training and administration procedures.
• Learn new content and consult subject‑matter experts to create training materials and answer participant questions.
• Assist with building and testing training environments; provide support and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with other trainers by co‑facilitating classroom instruction and assisting with exercises as needed.
• Prepare training lessons, print materials, and set up the training room and environment prior to sessions.
• Present information verbally and in writing in a clear, easy‑to‑understand manner.
• Follow up with trainees outside of the classroom to offer additional support.
• Train and credential additional classroom trainers as needed.
• Train staff and end users on technical topics as required.
• Manage projects by prioritizing tasks and adhering to timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (required).
• Active Epic Beaker Certification (required).
• Professional experience and completion of three full‑cycle implementations (preferred).
• Completion of Application fundamentals classes at Epic, including TED100: Overview of Training for Training Managers, and additional required and recommended classes and training tracks.

Work Requirements

• Travel required: approximately 25% of time (about one week per month).
