About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Certified Epic Anesthesia / OpTime Analyst to support a healthcare organization's Epic surgical services team. This consultant will be responsible for application build, optimization, production support, testing, and implementation activities across the OpTime and Anesthesia modules while partnering with clinical and operational stakeholders to improve perioperative workflows.
Responsibilities
- Configure, build, and optimize Epic OpTime and Anesthesia applications
- Analyze clinical and operational workflows to recommend and implement system improvements
- Gather business requirements and translate them into Epic configuration solutions
- Perform application build, testing, validation, implementation, and documentation
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support
- Collaborate with clinical leaders, surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing teams, and IT stakeholders
- Participate in system upgrades, integrated testing, and go-live support as needed
- Ensure all build activities adhere to Epic best practices and organizational standards
Required Qualifications
- Epic OpTime Certification (Required)
- Epic Anesthesia Certification (Required)
- 3+ years of Epic OpTime and Anesthesia analyst experience
- Strong experience with application build, configuration, and workflow optimization
- Experience supporting perioperative and anesthesia clinical workflows
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into Epic build solutions
- Hands-on experience with integrated testing, validation, upgrades, and go-live support
- Strong production support and issue resolution experience
- Experience collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing leadership, and operational stakeholders
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with procedure scheduling, operating room workflows, and anesthesia documentation
- Experience with Epic upgrades, optimization initiatives, and system enhancements
- Knowledge of change control, release management, and integrated testing
- Previous experience supporting a large healthcare system or multi-hospital environment
