Epic EHR Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Epic EHR Consultant to join our team on a remote basis. This role supports Epic integration systems within a healthcare setting and requires close collaboration with clinical staff, including physicians and registered nurses, to translate business needs into effective EMR functionality.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong understanding of inpatient workflows, clinical operations, and IT strategy
• Contribute to EHR implementation plans, including scope and timelines
• Manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and strong interpersonal skills
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, team members, managers, and vendors
• Implement, build, maintain, and optimize Epic integration systems
• Apply knowledge of Epic EMR software, operations, and workflow, partnering with clinical leaders to translate business needs into EMR functionality
• Work with various interfaces and related integrations using Epic knowledge
• Collaborate with clinics to identify workflow gaps and provide mutually agreeable solutions
• Support the design, build, testing, and implementation of Epic integration application systems
• Work with clinicians to create or adapt written protocols
• Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions to ongoing problems

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Epic certification
• 5 years of experience with Epic Bones
• 5 years of experience with Smart Text Build
• 5 years of experience with Ambulatory
• Healthcare industry experience, including working directly with doctors and RNs

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Inpatient experience
• Cadence experience

Pay

$60-62/hr
