Position Summary

The successful candidate for the Clinical Application Analyst will be responsible for regular day-to-day communication, troubleshooting, software design, build and testing for the Epic Hospital Billing system known as Resolute. The primary role involves researching and seeking solutions to problems and contributing to improving workflow and processes. They will work with other analysts to support the Epic system and end users to ensure the technology is optimized for best enhanced work processes and overall patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, design, build, testing and implementing of information systems that support and enhance revenue cycle practices.
  • Able to independently evaluate systems, analyze complex issues and problems, test data and assist customers in reaching resolution(s).
  • Possesses a strong understanding of core functions for the billing office, including knowledge of overall Revenue Cycle Management.
  • Familiar with any regulations and compliance issues surrounding billing processes.
  • Participates and leads testing of module updates, enhancements, custom programming and new releases.
  • Provides ongoing maintenance and support for assigned applications with little to no assistance.
  • Provides training for physicians, nurses, and other staff on new computer systems, application upgrades, and new functionality.
  • Administers competencies following training sessions.
  • Able to utilize current issue tracking software to document contact with customers and resolutions to issues.
  • Routinely manages IS related & non-IS related projects with limited management oversight.
  • Must work effectively with team members, have strong communication skills and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Experience

  • Relevant health care IT, Revenue Cycle or Clinical experience.
  • Previous teaching/training and project management is a plus.
  • Epic certification required or experience in the Epic billing module known as Resolute (Epic certification is required within 6 months from employment).
  • Solid comprehension of billing practices and the ability to work with patients and payers to resolve issues.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and communication skills required to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external contacts.
  • Strong skills in PC desktop applications such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules to meet job requirements; requires occasional after-hours support.

Requirements

  • This is a hybrid position and must be willing to work in the office two days a week.
  • Required Bachelor's or Associate Degree or have acquired 1 to 3 years of equivalent experience.
  • LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.
  • Preferred Bachelor's/Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Information, Business Administration, Accounting or other related field.
