Epic Certified Professional Billing Analyst

Location: Miramar, FL (South Florida) – fully onsite, 5 days per week

About the role

A large healthcare organization seeks an experienced Certified Epic Professional Billing (PB) Analyst to support and enhance their Epic PB environment. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in Epic Professional Billing, including Resolute PB Administration or PB Claims and Remittance, with hands-on build expertise for complex configuration, troubleshooting production issues, and partnering closely with operational stakeholders to improve billing workflows and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary analyst for assigned Epic Professional Billing application areas
• Analyze end-user needs and translate requests into system design, configuration, and measurable outcomes
• Evaluate existing workflows and propose improvements to usability, efficiency, and controls
• Troubleshoot issues across build, interfaces/feeds, and downstream impacts to billing processes
• Test new and existing functionality to confirm expected results, data integrity, and alignment with internal procedures
• Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners to maintain stable operations
• Create or refine procedures and standards to improve consistency and operational performance
• Lead or coordinate application-focused initiatives, enhancements, or module-level projects as the subject matter expert

Requirements

• Epic certification in Resolute PB Administration OR PB Claims/Remittance (one required; both strongly preferred)
• 5–7+ years of senior-level Epic Professional Billing experience (certified)
• Hands-on build and support experience across core PB areas such as:
  • Claims and remittance configuration and troubleshooting
  • Rules, work queues, edits, and charge review/charge routing
  • Payor and plan record setup and maintenance
  • GL-related billing configurations and related reconciliation impacts
  • Credit card processing workflows (as applicable)
  • Medicaid and Medicare billing considerations
  • Reimbursement contracts, denials workflows, and cash management concepts
• Community Connect exposure (nice to have / as applicable)
• Ability to independently handle complex tickets, root-cause analysis, and stakeholder communication in a production environment
• Comfort working fully onsite in a fast-paced operations setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Already holding multiple Epic PB certifications (Resolute PB Admin plus Claims/Remittance)
• Demonstrated experience acting as a project/module lead for application upgrades, rollouts, or optimization initiatives
• Strong documentation, testing discipline, and process improvement mindset

Pay

Target base compensation ~$90,000 (flexible based on experience)
