About the Role

The Epic Business Systems Analyst III ensures that the operational interests of their respective functional areas are fully represented in the day-to-day operations of the Information Systems Department. This role supports the Epic applications deployed within the Harris Health System.

Responsibilities

  • Represent functional areas in the Information Systems Department to support Epic applications.
  • Handle multiple activities simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet overlapping deadlines.
  • Understand and apply functional processes and business rules related to the applications being implemented or supported.
  • Be available to work on-site (after hours) as scheduled.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and five (5) years of work experience within IT, or three (3) years of hospital healthcare organizations business analysis experience, or High School Diploma or GED and nine (9) years of work experience within IT.
  • Proficiency or certification in at least one Epic Application (e.g., Grand Central / Prelude for Registration – Inpatient / Outpatient).
  • One (1) year of project management experience; Epic project experience preferred.
  • Experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred.
  • Experience supporting an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Healthcare Information Technology experience.

Skills

  • Analytical, design, research, and statistical skills.
  • Above-average verbal communication (heavy public contact) and exceptional public speaking skills.
  • Strong writing skills for correspondence and reports.

Schedule

  • On-call availability.
  • Eligible for telecommute.
