Responsibilities

• Facilitate the team of clinical application analysts in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of clinical applications, including electronic health records (EHR), clinical decision support systems, and other clinical software.
• Collaborate with clinical end-users, IT staff, and vendors to identify opportunities for improving clinical workflows and processes using technology.
• Lead system testing and validation to ensure the clinical applications meet regulatory requirements and user needs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues with clinical applications, and provide timely resolution to minimize impact on patient care and clinician productivity.
• Maintain awareness of upcoming development, offerings, and solutions in the EHR System or other clinical applications.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures, ensuring accessibility to support staff and end-users.
• Work collaboratively with operational and medical staff leaders to implement and align strategic initiatives.
• Participate in all phases of the system development life cycle, including development of use cases and evaluation of software solutions.
• Lead and facilitate the facility’s core clinical and business systems team on IT activities.
• Prioritize based on understanding strategies, budget, Epic requirements, goals, and the value that projects and tasks provide the business.
• Facilitate and mentor other team members in collaboration with clinical and business end users.
• Organize and provide project management functions for small and medium project initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience, or Associate’s degree with 5 years of experience, or 7 years of healthcare or IT experience.
• Basic understanding of healthcare workflows and terminology.
• Epic Certification is required (certifications may include: EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, Radiant, Cupid, Optime, Anesthesia, Grand Central, or other relevant Epic Apps).
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Previous experience using verbal and written communication to a variety of audiences through a range of modalities.
• Knowledge of clinical workflows and processes, and experience in implementing and supporting clinical software applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to clinical staff members and other stakeholders.
• Experience in project management and change management in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Working knowledge of IT solutions and interfacing preferred.
