About the role

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining extracts and reports within a hospital's Epic system and various healthcare information systems. Responsibilities include working on new Report builds like Reporting workbench, Slicer/Dicer and RADAR, Epic upgrades and Nova Notes, and error handling in Epic including creating/modifications of error queues and using support utilities in Epic. The role also requires content management activities, working with business stakeholders and IT teams to troubleshoot Epic report issues, and resolving user-reported issues or incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Work on new Report builds like Reporting workbench, Slicer/Dicer and RADAR
  • Work on Epic upgrades and Nova Notes
  • Work on error handling in Epic including creating/modifications of error queues and using support utilities in Epic
  • Work with business stakeholders and IT team to troubleshoot Epic report issues and problems related to break-fixes and other support activities
  • Resolve issues or incidents reported by end users and escalate any quality issues or risks with team leads/scrum masters/project leaders
  • Work with end-users to help communicate enhancements/improvements needed for business processes

Requirements

  • Experience with healthcare domains and concepts
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Business concepts, processes, information, and data
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Up to date EPIC Certified in Clarity, Caboodle and in either Epic Clinical Data Model or Revenue Data Model modules
  • 3-6 years of recent experience in Epic analytics and reporting enhancements, break-fixes and support activities
  • Experience with US healthcare reporting data models
  • Experience in new Report builds, Modifications and analysis on existing reports
  • Good to have experience in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, QlikSense or any other reporting tool
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and other regulations that impact hospitals and clinics preferred
  • Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
