Your Opportunity
We are seeking an Epic Analyst - Professional Billing that will facilitate the development, implementation, and support of the Epic Resolute Professional Billing System within the organization.
What You Will Do
- Develops, implements, and supports Epic Resolute Professional Billing
- Interacts directly with operations and the clinical applications team to analyze and specify application requirements and workflows and to make system recommendations
- Affords assistance with problem solving, testing, and documentation of billing systems
- Develops and maintains configuration decision and workflow documents
- Affords assistance with analysis of data [conversion, analytics, quality, root cause]
- Attends meetings and is accountable for action items assigned to them or their team
- Reviews, evaluates, and tests new software and software upgrades
- Ensures that the software functions efficiently daily and remains in safe functioning condition
- Maintains excellent customer service while working with NOMS physicians and team members
- Stays abreast of leading-edge information technology, communications, and healthcare software applications
Education And Experience
- Epic Professional Billing certification required
- Epic Claims certification preferred
- Experience with Epic’s reimbursement contract build
- Willingness to obtain certifications via Epic if requested
- Minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible experience in information systems
- Health care setting preferred
- Familiarity with ambulatory physician billing practices
- Strong understanding of a vast array of integration points, including scheduling, imaging, and billing
- Skill in performing as programmer/analyst to resolve problems requiring critical thinking, coordinate simultaneous efforts, recover from data loss, speed up development, improve program efficiencies
- Ability to be oriented to end-user support needs across multiple sites
- Strong leadership and communication skills, both written and oral
Other Requirements
- Must be flexible, will include some evening and weekend hours
- Position requires 50% travel to VHP outlying offices, which may include overnight stays
