About the role

EPC Assistant Project Managers are responsible for providing general management for construction projects and supports the oversight of project teams. They align with FTI’s safety culture and ensure projects are completed profitably, on time, and according to customer expectations. They represent the company professionally and interact with various stakeholders to support project progress and ensure safe behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the planning, organization, and staffing of construction projects.
  • Aligns with FTI’s safety culture and keeps it a focus throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensures projects are completed profitably, in a timely manner, and according to internal and external customer expectations.
  • Represents the company in a professional manner to maintain relationships with Owners, Subcontractors, Vendors, and Field personnel.
  • Visits various job sites and interacts with crew, customers, foreman, and subcontractors to ensure proper job progress and support safe behavior.
  • Schedules and coordinates subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers.
  • Manages material coordination related to shop drawing reviews, procurement, sequencing, and ensures proper flow of activities.
  • Collaborates with Project Managers, Preconstruction Managers, Estimators, Engineers, Project Superintendents, and other internal FTI supporting team members on a daily basis.
  • Supports and/or leads the Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QA/QC) program.
  • Conducts Quality Control inspections to ensure compliance with the Construction Documents.
  • Coordinates equipment/system shop drawings and respective inspections.
  • Maintains the QA/QC log and project QA/QC plan.
  • Manages the correction of non-compliance activities in an efficient manner.
  • Supports and/or updates the project schedules.
  • Supports and/or leads the project closeout process, including acquiring, reviewing, and submitting all required documentation.
  • Supports the overall process related to project documentation required to meet any applicable Grants or Incentives for a specific project.

Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in construction project management or a related field. Experience managing construction projects and supervising staff is highly desirable. Previous experience in an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environment is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Ability to travel 50-100% of the time.
  • Work schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of construction documents and standards.

Pay

Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
