Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall project management and oversight of large-scale utility solar projects.
- Aid in tracking budget delivery, scheduling, change orders, and purchase orders.
- Regularly interact with the Owner, meet client needs, and submit regular reporting as required.
- Maintain relationships between customers and subcontractors.
- Monitor construction activities, productivity, and create daily/weekly/monthly reports.
- Administer Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program as work progresses.
- Assist the project manager and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team in effectively closing out projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and schedulers to manage and update project schedules.
- Manage and contract with subcontractors and vendors for the site.
- Coordinate with the engineering and field teams to troubleshoot field challenges.
- Assist in cost forecasting for projects.
- Conduct trade pre-construction meetings, coordinate subcontractors and vendors, coordinate permit inspections, and maintain any subcontractor relationships.
- Support project engineers with Request for Information (RFI) and Submittal processes.
- Work closely with the engineering team to develop solutions for challenges encountered in the field.
- Oversee Subcontractors onsite to ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget.
Minimum requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field, with 2-4 years’ experience as an Assistant Project Manager on large-scale utility solar projects or field experience working on site on large-scale utility solar projects.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel to different solar projects throughout the United States.
