About the role
Assisting the physician in performance of invasive electrophysiology procedures. Has basic knowledge of EP Lab equipment and the maintenance of it while administering direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Provides direct and indirect care during established procedures and sedation for patients.

Qualifications
Education
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing - Registered Nurse (RN) - Required
- OR Graduate of an accredited Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), EP program, Respiratory Therapist, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, or Radiology Technologist - Required
Work Experience
- No experience required if graduate of RCIS or EP program - Required
- OR 1 year EP, Healthcare Imaging, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, Respiratory, or RN if not a graduate of RCIS or EP program - Required
Licenses and Certifications
- Based on healthcare experience (see above), applicable license - Upon Hire - Required
- If a graduate of RCIS or EP program, must obtain RCIS/RCES within 2 Years - Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support - Upon Hire - Required
- ACLS - Upon Hire - Required
