EP Lab Tech

About the role

Assisting the physician in performance of invasive electrophysiology procedures. Has basic knowledge of EP Lab equipment and the maintenance of it while administering direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Provides direct and indirect care during established procedures and sedation for patients.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing - Registered Nurse (RN) - Required
• OR Graduate of an accredited Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), EP program, Respiratory Therapist, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, or Radiology Technologist - Required

Work Experience

• No experience required if graduate of RCIS or EP program - Required
• OR 1 year EP, Healthcare Imaging, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, Respiratory, or RN if not a graduate of RCIS or EP program - Required

Licenses and Certifications

• Based on healthcare experience (see above), applicable license - Upon Hire - Required
• If a graduate of RCIS or EP program, must obtain RCIS/RCES within 2 Years - Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support - Upon Hire - Required
• ACLS - Upon Hire - Required
