EP Cardiologist

About the role
The Centra’s Stroobants Cardiovascular Center is seeking an EP cardiologist to join its practice based in Lynchburg, Virginia. Fellowship and BC/BE required. All experience levels welcome to apply!
Responsibilities
- Perform complex ablation procedures including VT and AF as well as all device implants.
- Lead extraction and epicardial ablation procedures.
- Work within a large, physician-led, nationally recognized group of cardiologists.
- Associate with one of the practice centers within the first year.
- Participate in various internal programs and tools promoting wellness.
- Collaborate with a team of 28 advanced practice providers (APPs), 5 of which work on the EP team.
- Engage in clinical research within the practice.
- Hold leadership roles within the practice and serve as a cardiovascular-specific physician liaison.
- Utilize equipment such as CARTO mapping systems, St. Jude mapping system, Pulse Field Ablations, Cryo and RF ablations for AF, and more.
Qualifications
- Completion of medical degree and residency/fellowship training in Cardiac Electrophysiology.
- MD/DO with certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board in physician's primary specialty.
- Must be board certified or in the process of certifying.

Schedule
2-3 days per week performing procedures, 2-3 days per week in the office, EP only call 1:6.
