Environmental Test Dynamics Engineer - Level 1 or Level 2

About the role

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking an Environmental Test Dynamics Engineer – Level 1 or Level 2 to join our team in Dulles, VA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implementing new or improved tools and processes to increase team efficiency
• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for testing
• Interface with multiple groups for test planning
• Support on floor Lab activities and testing
• Support test readiness reviews
• Perform mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting on all equipment
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and urgent maintenance needs in a timely manner

Requirements

• For Level 1: Bachelor’s degree with 0 years of professional experience. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance.
• For Level 2: Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 0 years of professional experience. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general Environmental Testing in a Space or Defense manufacturing environment
• Hands on experience in setup and running vibration equipment
• Hands on experience with Thermal Vacuum testing and equipment
• Knowledge of Vibration theories and equipment
• Proficient in Microsoft office and Windows file structure

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $69,400.00 - $104,000.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00

Schedule

This position is for a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
