Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Supervise segregation and packaging material for process along with the completion of required paperwork in a legible, accurate, and timely manner in accordance with appropriate regulations and Clean Earth policies, practices, and procedures
- Separate and pack hazardous material for transport
- Complete required paperwork in accordance with our practices and procedures
- Collecting samples of inbound waste for laboratory analysis
- Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 2+ years of prior experience working with hazardous materials
- Ability to read, write and speak in English
- Ability to operate equipment, including a forklift and pallet jack
- 2+ years of experience sampling and receiving hazardous waste
- Ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift and possesses safe driving record
- Proficiency with Windows based programs (i.e. Excel and Word)
- Demonstrates knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and RCRA Regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience sampling and receiving hazardous waste
