Environmental Technician I (Temporary - Iredell)

About the role

This is a temporary position with no leave or retirement benefits. Responsibilities

• Conduct well testing at various residences across the state, including long day trips to sampling sites and delivery of samples to the laboratory.
• Assist in chemical testing of private wells due to PFAS and Non-PFAS contamination in drinking water wells.
• Work in pairs for health and safety policy compliance during chemical testing.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in agricultural, biological, engineering, environmental, or natural resource sciences or a closely related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution; or
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

• Some experience in the environmental field is a plus.

Pay

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $18.00 (based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
