Environmental Technician

About the role

Live Oak Retirement Community in Shreveport, LA is seeking an Environmental Technician / Housekeeper. This position will be responsible for daily cleaning and supplying resident rooms, wards, nursing stations, lounges, laboratories, bathrooms, offices and any other areas assigned in accordance with the facilities objectives.

Responsibilities

• Use cleaning devices including 16oz wet mops, wringers, dusters, vacuum cleaners, cleaning chemicals, commercial washers and dryers, and other necessary tools, products and supplies.
• Exert 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently and 10 pounds constantly.
• Lift wet laundry into washers and dryers.

Requirements

• Ability to meet the physical demands described (force exertion and lifting).
• Attend hospital and departmental orientation upon hire.

Schedule

Full‑time day shift, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with possible variation to include weekends and evenings based on facility needs.
