Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Environmental Assessor to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in environmental due diligence and site assessment.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Draft clear, concise, and technically sound Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) reports in accordance with ASTM standards and EPA regulations.
- Review and synthesize historical land use data, including aerial photographs, fire insurance maps, city directories, and regulatory databases.
- Analyze environmental records and regulatory agency files to assess potential contamination risks.
- Prepare supporting documentation such as site maps, figures, appendices, and photographic logs based on field team input.
- Communicate with project managers, technical reviewers, and field staff to ensure accuracy and consistency of reported findings.
- Cook up project timelines, deliverables, and documentation to support timely and efficient report completion.
- Maintain working knowledge of current environmental regulations, industry trends, and Phase I ESA best practices.
- Participate in ongoing training, peer reviews, and mentorship opportunities to enhance technical writing skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, or other related field.
- 0-2 years writing Phase I environmental site assessments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for field work.
- Internship or consulting experience is a plus but not required.

- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Curiosity, motivation, and a desire to learn.
- Ability to work on projects concurrently.
- Proven ability to successfully deliver a quality product on time.
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team.
Additional Information
This position’s work mode is in-office. Relocation does not apply to this position.
Compensation
Salary range: $45,000 - $55,000. This is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. The pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
