About the role

The Environmental Services Technician position at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is a part-time, evening shift, 24-hours per week position with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, orderly, and sanitary environment in assigned areas.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for waste collection, handling, and transport.
• Work around patients in housekeeping.
• Perform tasks such as damp dusting, mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping, and polishing.
• Cross-train in other areas and participate in professional development and career growth opportunities.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of housekeeping/ESD experience required in lieu of High School/GED Diploma.
