Overview

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is currently hiring an Environmental Services Technician. This is a part-time, day shift, 24-hours per week position with rotating weekends.

Education/Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of housekeeping/ESD experience required in lieu of a high school/GED diploma.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, orderly, and sanitary environment in assigned areas.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for waste collection, handling, and transport.
• Work around patients in housekeeping.
• Perform tasks such as damp dusting, mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping, and polishing.
• Participate in cross-training and professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver the best possible experience and care for patients.
