Essential Job Functions

  • Performs cleaning tasks on the appropriate forms to record items accurately in paperwork.
  • Communicates effectively with the supervisor to keep them informed of current responsibilities and resolve any complex or urgent issues.
  • Aids in monitoring supply levels to balance departmental supply needs and budgetary goals.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and functionality of equipment and storage areas to ensure efficient department operations.
  • Treats and removes carpet stains as needed without prompting to maintain a clean appearance for guests and patients.
  • Selects and uses cleaning agents and equipment to safeguard against damage and clean effectively to reduce the risk of illness.
  • Performs cleaning according to departmental standards (routine and/or weekly, discharge, medication rooms, IV storage rooms, refrigerators, etc.) to meet customer needs.
  • Does not handle medications and is escorted in areas where narcotics are available.
  • Prioritizes needs and adjusts accordingly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.
