Environmental Services Worker
Job Summary
You will provide critical environmental services and meticulous attention to cleanliness, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Consistently completes assigned work on time while meeting quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Informs supervisor immediately of circumstances that may result in an inability to complete assigned work.
- Maintains impeccable standards by cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces.
- Manages waste disposal and operates specialized equipment.
- Meticulously follows infection control protocols.
Required Job Requirements
- High School GED or equivalent preferred.
- Hospital or other institutional environmental service experience preferred.
- Knowledge relative to the healthcare Environmental Services field through attending in-service sessions or seeking out information from supervisors.
- Participation in meetings and contributions to performance improvement efforts within the department and organization.
- Absence or tardiness less than 4 occurrences per year.
- Acquisition of knowledge relevant to the healthcare Environmental Services field.
