Environmental Services Technician-Second Shift

About the role

Full time, benefits eligible position with a schedule of 40 hours per week on the second shift.

Pay

$18.85 – $28.30 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete cleaning of assigned areas including dusting and sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors and fixtures.
• Wash windows, walls, ceilings, vents and light fixtures.
• Sweep, scrub and refinish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpet.
• Restock restrooms, replace light bulbs, and report repairs.
• Handle cleaning chemicals, disinfecting agents, floor strippers and finishes.
• Assist with outdoor cleaning tasks such as parking lot, windows and roof; may use a ladder.
• Remove waste by collecting and transporting soiled linen, emptying trash containers, changing sharps containers, transporting solid and hazardous waste to compactors, recycling materials, and emptying cigarette receptacles in smoking areas.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and order; report equipment failures or mechanical issues to maintenance staff.
• Ensure a safe working environment and provide quality service by complying with procedures, rules, regulations, infection control guidelines, and departmental quality standards.
• Attend required in-service education and training classes including safety updates.
• Meet time schedules and deadlines consistently.
