About the role
Full time, benefits eligible position with a schedule of 40 hours per week on the second shift.
Pay
$18.85 – $28.30 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- One year of experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform complete cleaning of assigned areas including dusting and sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors and fixtures.
- Wash windows, walls, ceilings, vents and light fixtures.
- Sweep, scrub and refinish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpet.
- Restock restrooms, replace light bulbs, and report repairs.
- Handle cleaning chemicals, disinfecting agents, floor strippers and finishes.
- Assist with outdoor cleaning tasks such as parking lot, windows and roof; may use a ladder.
- Remove waste by collecting and transporting soiled linen, emptying trash containers, changing sharps containers, transporting solid and hazardous waste to compactors, recycling materials, and emptying cigarette receptacles in smoking areas.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and order; report equipment failures or mechanical issues to maintenance staff.
- Ensure a safe working environment and provide quality service by complying with procedures, rules, regulations, infection control guidelines, and departmental quality standards.
- Attend required in-service education and training classes including safety updates.
- Meet time schedules and deadlines consistently.
Skills
- Ability to prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.
- Ability to operate equipment.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work occasionally in extreme temperatures and around unpleasant smells.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers.
