Environmental Services Technician (Full Time)

About the role

The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the healthcare facility to ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in promoting a healthy and hygienic environment conducive to patient healing and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the healthcare facility
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to a healthy and hygienic environment conducive to patient healing and well-being

Requirements

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Prior Hospital Environmental service experience
• Experience: Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions
• Experience: Previous experience with performing manual tasks
• Experience: Previous experience working with the public; customer service

Skills

• Physical stamina and strength to perform physical tasks
• Attention to detail for sanitation and infection control
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Customer service skills for interacting with patients and staff
