About the Role

The Environmental Services Technician performs a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the healthcare facility to ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in promoting a healthy and hygienic environment conducive to patient healing and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks in accordance with infection control standards.
  • Maintain a hygienic environment to support patient healing and well-being.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions to complete assigned duties.
  • Engage in manual tasks such as pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Interact with the public and provide customer service as needed.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • No formal education required.
  • No prior experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior hospital environmental services experience.
  • Experience following written and verbal instructions.
  • Previous experience performing manual tasks.
  • Prior experience working with the public or in customer service.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
