About the role

The Environmental Services Technician at Mercy Hospital Perry is responsible for performing various cleaning and sanitation tasks to ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a healthy and hygienic environment that supports patient healing and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks throughout the healthcare facility
• Maintain compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements
• Ensure a clean and hygienic environment conducive to patient healing and well-being

Qualifications

• Prior Hospital Environmental Service Experience
• Prior Work Experience Following Written and Verbal Instructions
• Previous Experience With Performing Manual Tasks
• Previous Experience Working With The Public; Customer Service

Physical Requirements

• Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Able to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
