The Environmental Services Technician position at Sanford Health's Bemidji Medical Center is a casual, flexible role designed to meet the health standards of patients, residents, visitors, and facility staff. The position involves maintaining a safe and sanitary environment through various cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Emptying waste baskets, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors
• Using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines
• Cleaning patient/resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas
• Wearing proper protective equipment and following guidelines
• Maintaining storage, equipment, and carts
• Assisting in laundry areas as needed
• Using technology applications as available

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience
• Ability to use a computer
• Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods, and cleaning chemicals
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment preferred

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Pay

$15.00 - $22.50 per hour

Schedule

PRN (as needed), weekly hours vary, may include overtime, call, backup call, nights, days, weekends, and holidays.
