About the role

Responsible to clean and disinfect assigned areas utilizing the proper chemicals and equipment. Cleaning tasks include:

  • Cleaning walls, doors, door frames, floors, window sills, blinds, beds/bed frames, fixtures, and furniture, with emphasis on high touch surface areas.
  • Polish metals, change shower, cubicle and window curtains.
  • Scrubs, strips, and applies floor sealers and finishes using powered buffers and scrubbers.
  • Empties all waste and trash receptacles including regulated medical waste, chemotherapy, pathological waste, appropriate hazardous waste, as needed.
  • Disinfects and refills containers for soap and hygiene dispensers.
  • Cleans porcelain and chrome fixtures in bath and shower rooms.

Responsibilities

Effectively plan daily schedule in order to accomplish routine cleaning, which may include cleaning patient care and/or administration areas of the facility.
