About the role

The Environmental Services Tech position at MercyOne Northeast Iowa is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment across various areas of the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient care areas and public spaces according to established standards.
• Perform routine cleaning in administrative and support areas.
• Carry out special tasks and requirements to keep workspaces neat and functional.
• Ensure equipment and carts are kept clean, organized, and operational.
• Contribute to the safety, security, and efficiency of the Environmental Services department.
• Follow proper floor cleaning procedures and maintain equipment in good condition.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Mandatory reporter status.
• Valid Iowa driver’s license and acceptable MVR if driving is required.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Sensitivity to customer needs.
• Basic computer skills.
