About the role

The Environmental Services Tech position at MercyOne Northeast Iowa is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment across various areas of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient care areas and public spaces according to established standards.
• Perform room cleaning to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for both patients and staff.
• Manage cleaning in administrative and support areas, including special functions and requirements.
• Maintain equipment and carts in a clean, orderly, and operational condition.
• Contribute to the safety, security, and efficiency of the department by following proper procedures and demonstrating good equipment care.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Mandatory reporter status.
• Valid Iowa driver’s license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Professional appearance and sensitivity to customer needs.
• Basic computer skills.
